GoSun Sport Caramelized Onion Frittata Brunch Recipe

Another easy recipe to make with the GoSun solar oven. Cooking with the sun is easier than you think. No fuel, no smoke, good food to share with your loved ones.

GoSun Sport Caramelized Onion Frittata

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 60 minutes
Number of servings: 4


Ingredients: 1 white onion, thinly sliced
1 white onion, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 sprigs of thyme
6 eggs
30g double cream
Cheese of your choice - Gruyere would be perfect - (GoSun says so!)
Olive oil

Preparation:

Line your GoSun Sport insert with greaseproof paper (for the Fusion you can also use the silicone moulds). 
Drizzle the olive oil over the bottom and evenly distribute the onion and garlic, season with salt and pepper and add the thyme sprigs.
Cook for 30 minutes until the onions are brown and tender.
Beat the eggs with the cream, salt and pepper and pour slowly over the onions.
Cook for 30 minutes until the onions are set.
Top with cheese and return to your GoSun for a minute or two to let the cheese melt.
Serve with a light green salad.
